Today the whole Batten Team came into Room 4 with Don to learn about eels. He is a scientist.

- Eels can grow up to 2 meters

- Their teeth face backwards so that if something gets in, it can't get out
- Eels eat animals whole
- Eels eat baby ducklings
- Eels spin and bite to rip flesh off their prey
- Eels can breath through their skin and gills
- Eels have evolved from other fish
- Females are bigger then males because they have 7-20 millions of eggs
- You can tell what their age is with the rings on their ear bone
- The larva get swept in current into New Zealand
